Chinese New Year - Hong Kong Trip

After two busy days in China (Guangzhou), we headed back to HK for the main part of our holiday. With CNY sandwiched in between our stay, alot of shops were closed and leaving us with only a few days of hectic shopping.

Being a guy, I got mine all done in half a day, and spent the best part of a week trekking around waiting outside stores which sell female products, accessories, clothing's etc...

Ive managed to snap a few shots during these times..

Traditional chinese flower garden
Traditional lion dancing
Chinese New Year flower markets - Packed full of people doing customary night shopping before the new year

We Chinese LOVE to gamble..
One of the best parts of chinese new year are the red pockets that the young ones receive
A very nice night shot of the Shemun river in Shatin
Mongkok Langham Place - I was told this is the one of the longest escalator in south east asia

The above 4 pictures were taken with the Iphone4 to test out its camera - Busy Mongkok streets late at night.. really a city that doesn't sleep
Famouse HK mini-busses have a reputation for scary 100km/h experiences on narrow roads at night. And a speedo for passengers to know when they hit past 100km/h (top left)

Traditional Chinese New Year menu - A fair few dishes all with named with a lucky meaning

Then we have HK famous deserts
