First Outing - The Rocks

With the purchase of two brand new mini 4/3 cameras, we decided to take them out for our first ever photo-outing. What better place in Sydney, then to visit the icons as well as the back streets @ The Rocks.

After some small "incidental" dramas (which I won't go in too much detail) we got down to some business ...

Location of our outing

It is close to compulsory to take care of these two photo subjects if we go to the rocks for pictures
Walking away from the bridge and opera house, we started looking for other photo targets.. and one of the first we came across was a nice city sky-line

We contemplated taking care of some business by helping them refill their water steppes or in the alleyways. Until we realised toilets were just round the corner.

Nice alleyway behind Orient Hotel with their X'mas lighting still up. Makes a good shot
How nicely symmetrical have the local council designed this alleyway :P

You cant visit the rocks without taking this shot as well. Works great for when it's time to sell it.
All in all, a fun outing at the rocks. Although there were more places which I'm sure would make nice pictures, time wasn't on our side and we couldn't visit them all... theres always next time.

Adventure to the North

This weekend, had the pleasure of driving up to the central coast for a long weekend filled with guilty pleasures.

While much of the weekend remains a blur, at least I can say I came back burnt and somewhat less pasty then before i left. As much fun as I had, I still tried to fit in some time for some happy snaps.

On the way up I managed to spot the most awesome number plate (Kudos to you Mr Lee)

The view from our beach house was absolutely stunning.

Apparently kookaburras don't like beer.

Big shout out to ma bro Simon for his Quarter-Century!

While up there I had the fortune of having some sparklers and thought it was time to try some long exposure shots (Excuse the language, the pictures says enough)! I thought they turned out pretty good.

We tried REALLY REALLY hard not to look like tourists! We Failed :(

So all in all, gotta say it was a great trip, and can't wait till the next one. Heres hoping for HUNTER VALLEY 2011!!!!

Welcome!

Big helllllllo to anyone who may be reading this brand new blog!!!

After several weeks of contemplation, I have decided to purchase a brand new camera, that in being the Panasonic Lumx GF1. Awesome little camera I must say, while not quiet as well endowed as a DLSR, it packs quiet the punch for such a small little package.

Being newbie to the world of photography, I am still trying to find my bearings with this camera, but overall it seems easy to operate with all settings available to a single touch.

As far as this blog is concerned, Pat and I will hope to keep it regularly updated with snaps of anything and everything that we may come across in our travels, and hopefully provide ourselves with a valuable canvas for our photography.

I leave with your a couple random snaps I've taken below.

Peace Out:
Vince
